How it works:
1. Training and preparation Veterans that have completed the mandated programs particular to each one's circumstances are required to go to work in a phased approach. First, medical issues such as drug or alcohol addiction are treated. Next, work readiness, resume writing and other programs prepare the candidate to determine an optimum path for entering the work force. Additional training is done at Berkshire Works, MA Department of Employment and Training center in Pittsfield. UVA case managers and job development staff assist in advising the candidate to select an appropriate career path. 2. Job Placement and follow up
Employers may contact the UVA directly, or Molari Agency if preferred. When contacting the UVA, please specify the type of position, shift/hours, and salary offered. UVA staff will make every effort to match the appropriate candidate to the job. Staff will assist in arranging support services such as transportation to encourage the best outcome for the veteran and employer.
